Orca, also known as Killer Whales, are one of the most intelligent and social marine mammals. They are one of the most loved and studied whales in the world. Orcas hold single multi-generational families (transient and or resident pods) and are led by the eldest grandmother.

Many scientists and social activists worry about their future, because of reduced wild salmon from overfishing and noise/boat pollution.

Many First Nations up and down the Pacific Coast consider Orcas as great holders of wealth, family, loyalty, sustainability, curiosity, collaboration, knowledge, and respect for the sea.

In Kwakwala, the language used by the Namgis Peoples, the Orcas name is Maxinux.

Each shoe is made to order with love by a member of our trusty staff, using a patented process at our print shop.
